Begin Again (and again and again)
Have I mentioned how good at I am starting projects? I have been avidly working to break my repeated pattern – beginning things with a ferocious excitement and abandoning them without a second thought, just days later.
My quest to adapt to a healthier lifestyle has been filled with ups and downs. I work best with structure, and so I’ve decided to document my latest endeavor, The 30-Day Vegan Challenge by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (aka The Joyful Vegan). This challenge was created by a wonderful vegan chef and activist, and though I purchased it months ago, I’m finally ready to start this journey.
I have been listening to CPG’s podcast for about 8 months now, and have collected quite the library of her books. She is one of the most comprehensive resources available, and I’m a big fun of her practical and accessible approach.
I’m going full-force with this challenge: following both the online program and The 30-Day Vegan Challenge book. Unfortunately, the two don’t line up chronologically, so I will use the online program as my main guide, and the book will supplement.
Also joining me on this quest will be CPG’s Vegan’s Daily Companion, The Joy of Vegan Baking, and The Vegan Table. I will incorporate these books into my journey as often as I can, and will be reading and reviewing their tips and recipes along the way.
This post makes me sound like a bit of a CPG fangirl (maybe I am), but I believe that her ample research and guidance are going to be a great jumping off point to the journey that I have long been delaying. They will not be my only resources, but I’m confident that her collection will truly help me to create a change in my life.
Here we go… (cue *NSYNC)
